1. Is it recommended to exfoliate before you use the spray?
Yes, but it’s not a must. A scrub removes impurities and smooths the skin’s for a more even result and longer retention of the brown complexion.
  2. Does the spray leave marks on your clothes?
The first time that you clean your body or face after applying the spray, a little layer of tanning liquid comes off. This is the excessive spray that is not absorbed by the skin. If you spray in the evening, it is possible that this first layer comes off on your bed sheets. Therefore, we advise to spray in the morning. However, stains on bed sheets or clothes do not leave permanent stains and can be washed off in the washer.
Tip: if you have a wedding or a party, it is better to spray one day in advance, so that the excess layer has been washed off.
  3. After how much time can I take a shower?
The spray needs time to fully absorb into the skin. When you have applied the spray your skin will feel dry after about 10 minutes (the drying process can be speeded up with a hair dryer). However, this does not mean that the tanning process has ended, but you can dress yourself already. The spray still works until 3 hours after spraying. Therefore it is important to wait at least 3 hours with showers or intensive sports.
  4. Is the spray suitable for everybody?
Also pregnant women or people who for a medical reason are not allowed in the sun / under the sunbed can use our tanning spray.
  5. Can an allergic reaction occur when using the spray?
The bases of the spray are natural ingredients. Additionally, the natural tanning spray has been dermatologically tested, complies with EU regulations regarding cosmetic products and is free from parabens. So far, we have rarely experienced allergic reactions, even from people with a sensitive skin. Of course, it’s always possible for someone to react allergic to a natural ingredient. We therefore recommend that you always read the ingredients on the bottle before buying the bottle or using the spray, especially if you have sensitive skin.
  6. Can everyone use the same spray, or are there different colors of the spray?
There are no different colors to choose from. The spray contains DHA and Erythrulose, which act on the amino acids, proteins and peptides that are in the skin surface. This creates melanoids, organic pigments with a brown color. The spray stimulates your own pigment, giving everyone his or her own natural color. That is of course the most beautiful!
  7. Becomes your complexion instantly tanner if you apply several layers of the spray?
Yes, the more layers you spray the more brown you become. We certainly not recommend this if you want to create the most natural complexion. If you would like to become darker, we recommend the following: wait 3 hours after applying the first layer and then clean the skin. In these 3 hours, the skin has completely absorbed the product and the excessive layer is washed off. After this first cleansing, you will see the final result. If you don’t think it is enough, you can spray again. On average, people spray 1 or 2 times a week, as the tan will last for 4 or 5 days (if applied to a cleansed skin).
  8. Can the spray be applied on top of my makeup?
Yes, that’s possible! This results in a beautiful natural finish of the. When you take off your makeup before bedtime, your brown color will also fade. Makeup closes the skin so that the spray cannot penetrate into the skin. So, when you spray on a clean skin, the complexion stays 4 to 5 days, on top of makeup it stays only 1 day.
  9. Is there any chance of an orange effect?
No. There is no carotene processed in the natural tanning spray, the ingredient that normally causes the ‘carrot effect’. By replacing carotene with Caramel and Erythrulose extract this effect is excluded.
  10. Is there any propellant in the bottle?
No. We work with a bag-on-valvesystem. This system consists of a bag (in which the liquid is protected) that is connected to the aerosol valve. The air pressure ensures optimum emptying of the bag. This system is therefore much better for the environment than propellant. Additionally, this system increases the shelf life of the bottle.
  11. The spray does not get out of the bottle in a proper way, what can I do?
If you use the spray frequently, or have not used it for a long time, we always recommend removing the white spray mouth and rinse with warm water. When the spray mouth is dry, it can be placed back on the bottle. This should fix the problem. If this is not the case, please contact Marc Inbane’s headquarters.
